Terms of Service

Welcome to Compoz. By using our AI music composition platform, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Compoz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you're using Compoz on behalf of a company or organization, you're representing that you have authority to bind them to these terms.

2. Account Creation and Eligibility

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, you're confirming you have parental or guardian permission to use our service.

Account Responsibility

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

One Account Per Person

You may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to abuse our credit system or promotional offers is prohibited.

3. Credit System and Subscriptions

Credits are the unit of usage on Compoz. Each second of generated music costs 1 credit. Credits can be purchased in packs or through monthly subscriptions. Credit packs do not expire while your account is active. Subscription credits refresh monthly.

Free Tier

Free accounts receive 1 generation per day, up to 60 seconds, in MP3 format. Free tier output requires attribution when shared publicly — include "Composed with Compoz" or link to compozai.com.

Subscription Tiers

• Starter ($9/month or $80/year): 5,000 credits per month. Up to 180 seconds per generation. MP3 + WAV download. Commercial license. 2 concurrent generations. Chat edit.
• Pro ($29/month or $260/year): 20,000 credits per month. Up to 300 seconds per generation. MP3 + WAV + MIDI + stems download. Commercial license. 5 concurrent generations. Chat edit. Priority queue.

Credit Packs (Pay As You Go)

Credit packs are available in quantities of 100, 250, 500, or 1,000 credits. Packs do not expire. MP3 download included. Credit packs do not include a commercial license — commercial use requires a Starter or Pro subscription.

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions will continue at the original price until renewed.

4. Refund Policy

If you've purchased credits or a subscription and haven't used them, you can request a refund within 30 days of purchase. Credits are automatically refunded if a composition fails.

Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime. You'll continue to have access until the end of your billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

All sales of credits and subscriptions are final unless explicitly covered by our 30-day unused credit policy.

5. Intellectual Property

Who Owns What

You Own (Paid Tiers): If you generated music using a paid subscription (Starter or Pro) or purchased credits, you receive a perpetual license to use the output for personal or commercial purposes without attribution. See Section 5.2 for full commercial rights.

Free Tier: Music composed using free credits is licensed under the same terms but requires attribution when shared publicly — include "Composed with Compoz" or link to compozai.com. Free tier output may not be used for commercial purposes.

We Own: Our underlying AI models, the Compoz platform, and all technology and intellectual property related to our service. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or extract our AI models.

Commercial Rights

If you generated music using a paid subscription (Starter or Pro) or purchased credits, you receive a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the generated music for any personal or commercial purpose, including:

• Monetized content on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and other platforms
• Commercial projects such as advertisements, podcasts, and video productions
• Games, apps, and software
• Live performances and broadcasts
• Resale or licensing to third parties

You are not required to credit Compoz when using paid-tier output, though attribution is always appreciated.

Free tier output is licensed under the same terms but requires attribution when shared publicly. Free tier output may not be used for commercial purposes without a paid subscription.

6. AI Generated Content Disclaimer

Our AI composes music using machine learning models. We do not guarantee that outputs will be unique, free of errors, or match specific expectations. Generated content does not imply endorsement by Compoz of your project or message. We may refuse to process generations that violate our prohibited uses or that we determine may cause harm.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use Compoz to:

• Generate content that infringes copyright, defamation, or other intellectual property rights
• Generate content for illegal purposes
• Generate content promoting hate speech, violence, or discrimination
• Generate content depicting minors in inappropriate situations
• Attempt to extract, copy, or reverse engineer our AI models
• Resell or provide access to our API without authorization
• Use automated systems or bots to compose content at scale without permission
• Share account credentials or let multiple people use a single account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these prohibitions without prior notice.

8. DMCA and Copyright Policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. You're responsible for ensuring your composition prompts don't infringe third-party rights.

If you believe your copyright is being infringed on Compoz, please send a DMCA notice to legal@compozai.com with: description of the copyrighted work, location of the infringing content, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury. We will respond to valid notices and take appropriate action.

We terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.

9. Limitation of Liability

Compoz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your expectations.

Our total liability to you for any claims related to these terms or your use of Compoz will not exceed the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including lost profits or business interruption.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@compozai.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, don't pay subscription fees, or we discontinue the service.

Upon termination, you lose access to your account and any unused credits. Your obligations under these terms survived termination include intellectual property and liability provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or through the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you don't agree, you must stop using Compoz.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, Maharashtra. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
